Rittersdorf Castle
12th-century moated castle with a restaurant in the castle courtyard.
Surrounded by water and accessible via a stone bridge: Burg Rittersdorf, a 12th-century castle, is one of the Eifel's best-preserved moated castles — complete with a castle courtyard, small museum and registry office wedding room in the tower.
In the castle restaurant, you can dine in the inner courtyard during summer. The castle sits directly on the Nims cycle route — a perfect stop on your tour through the valley.
