Idyllic river cycle path through the Nims valley, past Rittersdorf Castle.
The Nims is the quiet star among the Eifel rivers: its cycle path winds through a peaceful meadow valley from the source near Neuerburg to where it flows into the Prüm — with no significant traffic, but plenty of nature.
From Bitburg you can reach the valley in just a few minutes; the water castle Rittersdorf is a worthwhile stop along the way. If you want to cover some distance, combine the Nims and Prüm valley cycle routes into one large loop.
