Old town with an 18-metre waterfall in the centre — the 'little Venice' of the Saar.
Right through Saarburg's old town, the Leukbach plunges 18 metres into the depths — a waterfall in the town centre, lined with half-timbered houses and old mills. Above it stands the castle ruin from the 10th century, whose tower offers the best views over the Saar valley.
The lanes at Buttermarkt invite you to browse, and at the Amüseum by the waterfall, everything revolves around the town's history. In summer, you can glide up to Warsberg by chairlift — panoramic views included.
