Schiessentümpel

Luxembourg's most famous waterfall — triple cascade beneath a stone arched bridge.

No subject in the region is photographed more often: at Schiessentümpel, the Schwarze Ernz plunges in three strands beneath a moss-covered stone bridge — a sight like from a fairy tale, especially after rain and in autumn foliage.

The waterfall is situated directly on the Müllerthal Trail; from the car park on the road it is only a few minutes' walk away. Early in the morning the spot is all yours — and the light is at its most beautiful.
