Narrow rocky gorge with circular trails — one of the natural wonders of the Eifel.
At the end of the last ice age, vast sandstone formations broke apart here — leaving behind a labyrinth of metre-high rock walls, narrow crevices and moss-green stone steps. The Teufelsschlucht near Ernzen is the natural wonder of the South Eifel.
From the nature park centre, circular trails of various lengths lead through the gorge and across the rock plateaus — including a viewing platform over the Sauertal. Bring sturdy footwear; the Dinosaur Park is right next door for a combined family outing.
