Access to the Mosel cycle route at the old fishermen's quarter of Zurlauben with beer gardens by the water.
The Mosel cycle path is one of Europe's most popular river cycle routes: predominantly flat, excellently developed and always along the water, passing vineyards, half-timbered villages and ferry landings. In Trier, you start at the Zurlaubener bank — the old fishermen's quarter with beer gardens right on the river.
Downstream you reach Schweich and the wine villages of the Middle Mosel, upstream you head towards Konz, where the Saar flows in — and further into the three-country corner towards Luxembourg. Daily stages can be combined as you wish, and the return journey is comfortable by train.
